2.2 (Online Webinar) Do-Re-Meetoo: adapting lectures in the moment
Simeon Scheuber-Rush, a lecturer from the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) will be sharing his experiences of using Meetoo (Student Response System) to increase student engagement and improve student learning with a group of music students. 2.3 Call for contributions: 'Learning on/with the Open Web' at Coventry Transport Museum.
On the 25th of October 2018 we will be hosting a one-day free conference under the theme of 'Learning on/with the Open Web' at Coventry Transport Museum. Rather than following the format of a traditional conference, the event will be closer to an exhibition or fair, with interactive sessions, conversations and networking opportunities scheduled throughout the day. The

2.5 Call for papers: E-mentor Academic Journal, Special Issue on Children’s Universities

2.7 Call for Proposals: Hybrid Poetry & Tertiary Pedagogy: Experimental Verse across the Disciplines
A call for 5000 word essays that consider, combine, or supplement any of the following suggestive (rather than prescriptive) topics on hybrid poetry within the Teaching & Learning (T&L) paradigm. 2.8 Call for Seminar expert participants “Learning with Technologies” as a part of H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie project entitled “CmapER: Innovative learning platform for Knowledge integration in Energy Retrofit”.
The seminar for experts (max 10) in the field of Higher Education, Pedagogy and Learning with technologies with the aim to discuss about the learning method and tool elaborated within CmapER, which are based on a combined use of cognitive mapping technique and meaningful learning activities.

2.9 Panopto Conference 2018: 'Your video learning ecosystem'
Panopto's annual conference on video learning will take place on 14 November in central London. The agenda will cover key themes such as: How academic staff are using video, student views on video and lecture recording and how learning technologists, IT and AV staff are supporting new pedagogical approaches. There is no charge to attend.

2.10 This is a final Call for Papers for a special issue of the Australasian Journal of Educational Technology (AJET) on "Re-Examining Cognitive Tools: New Developments, New Perspectives, and New Opportunities for Educational Technology Research"
The special issue seeks to rekindle and re-energise scholarly interest in, and dialogue around, the concept of technologies as cognitive tools for learning. The final, extended deadline for manuscript submissions is 1 October 2018, but to assist in forward planning, authors are asked to provide draft/working titles and abstracts ahead of time.
