Statistician (Data Science specialism), Care Quality Commission. 

Location Flexible with regular travel to London

An exciting opportunity to join CQCs Intelligence Directorate has arisen. A key part of CQCs strategy is to deliver an intelligence driven approach to regulation in the complex and rapidly changing health and social care environment. The Intelligence directorate is evolving to meet this challenge, and is investing in new tools and IT infrastructure and exploring more complex methods of analysis.

Statistician (Data Science specialism)

The role is within the Intelligence Unit of CQC, providing specialist statistical modelling and machine learning support and analysis together with in-house statistical training. You will be a key member of a small team of statisticians whose knowledge, skills and experience you will complement.

About You

You should have a graduate qualification in statistics, data science or a related discipline, or a degree with a substantial statistical component. You will need a comprehensive understanding of statistical methodology together with considerable practical experience, including advanced modelling, and experience of a range of statistical software packages, in particular SAS or R. Experience of machine learning techniques and Python would be an advantage as we develop our work in these areas.
