Hi

Applications are open for this job opportunity to work within the Centre for Law and Social Justice and the Centre for Disability Studies at the University of Leeds on a 5-year European Research Council (Advanced Grant) project - 'Inclusive Public Space: Law, Universality and Difference in the Accessibility of Streets'. The successful candidate will play a key role in this project, working closely with the Principal Investigator (Anna Lawson) to lead and deliver the project's Work Package on 'Tools for Change'. This is broadly concerned with advancing understanding of whether and why exclusionary public space is regarded as a minority issue and fostering greater awareness and solidarity including by raising awareness of the nature and impact of relevant exclusion through a range of platforms including internet, social media and street simulation packages. Candidates are expected to have a PhD at the time of their appointment or very soon afterwards; expertise in computer studies, with interest in immersive technology, film or transport simulation, and accessibility and inclusive design.
