---------------------------------------- Postdoctoral positions available at UCLA ---------------------------------------- The Laboratory of Molecular Neuroimaging (LMN) at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA is accepting applications for qualified and motivated postdoctoral fellows to conduct mentored research in human neuroimaging of addiction, self-control, decision making. LMN has a vibrant research program focusing on stimulant, nicotine, and cannabis use disorders, applying multimodal imaging in studies that use molecular (PET), functional (BOLD fMRI, perfusion MRI), and structural measures (sMRI, DTI). Postdoctoral fellows, based in LMN, will have the opportunity to interact with a well-established group of investigators within the laboratory and the rich neuroscience community across the UCLA campus. LMN is especially interested in trainees with experience in brain imaging (MRI or PET). Two positions are currently available specifically for scientists to investigate effects of exercise training on brain chemistry (i.e., dopamine receptor availability measured via PET), brain function (task- and resting-state BOLD fMRI), and treatment outcomes for patients in an inpatient program. INTERESTED APPLICANTS SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA: 1) Technical experience in brain imaging (MRI or PET) data acquisition and analysis. Experience in both univariate and multivariate statistical approaches is preferred and in diverse neuroimaging software environments (e.g., FSL, SPM, Freesurfer, nilearn, NiPype). Proficiency in programming (i.e., Matlab, Python, Unix/Linux shell, and/or other languages) strongly preferred. 2) Doctoral degree (MD or PhD in cognitive or affective neuroscience, cognitive science, experimental psychology, or related discipline) Salary will be commensurate with training level. UCLA is an equal-opportunity employer. Women and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply. Earliest start date is August 1st, 2018. APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Applications must include the following items in order to be considered: 1. Current curriculum vitae 2. Letter of intent 3. Names and contact info for three references Interested applicants should email Dr. Edythe London ( [log in to unmask]) More info on LMN: www.semel.ucla.edu/laboratory-molecular-neuroimaging
