Are you a scientist or an engineer who has a hunger to share the wonder of your work with others?
Are you a community based organization who is keen to support your members to engage with science and engineering?
Wonder Match is the perfect opportunity for community organisations and scientists and engineers to meet and develop ideas for engagement activities. Based on a highly effective approach,
Wonder Match is a series of partnership-building events designed to support
community organisations and scientists and engineers to work together to encourage diverse audiences to engage with STEM. Brought to you by the National Coordinating Centre for Public Engagement (NCCPE) and the Science and Technology Facilities
Council (STFC), the events provide an opportunity for community organisations supporting people in the 40% most deprived areas of the UK, and scientists and engineers in STFC related disciplines, to meet and develop project ideas together. Event participants
can apply for a small amount of funding to enable them to further develop their ideas, before potentially applying for an STFC grant.
Upcoming events include East Midlands (Leicester, 8 October at the National Space Academy ), Scotland (Glasgow, 12 November at Glasgow Women’s Library ). Other events will take place in the North West and West Midlands.
