Subject: Living Theory research as a way of life.

Hi all

An opportunity to give yourself a treat, get a hardcopy or e-copy of Jack Whitehead's latest book from Amazon or your favourite online bookshop.

Whitehead, J. (2018) Living Theory research as a way of life. Bath, Brown Dog Books.

It includes key papers and commentaries showing the evolution of Living Theory research as a way of life from its early inception to the current days. Would be good if you could help spread the word and write a review for your favourite journal.

Hope it brings you plenty to smile about and helps enrich your research

Marie

Subject: What is normative power? And how can it be used in inter- & trans-disciplinary research collaborations for social change?

Normative power in collaboration seeks to spread ethical goals such as respect for human rights. It assumes joint action & mutual learning which influence negotiations. It also assumes governments can enforce ethical goals on business & civil society – this is important in achieving change on complex problems eg sustainability. See the great new blog post by Lena Partzsch at https://i2insights.org/2018/06/26/normative-power/
