Hi Giles,
I’m sure you are aware that the main UK repository for ocean sediments is our “sister” (or should that be “sibling”?) organisation, Boscorf (British Ocean Sediment Core Research Facility) -
http://www.boscorf.org/ . I believe they hold around 2000 sediment cores.
Best,
Mike

Subject: Ocean Bottom Sediment Collections
Dear all,
Does anyone know of any museums that hold substantial collections of ocean sediments?
I’m writing a short paper on the use of the NHM ocean sediment collection with one of my students and we want to include examples of other museums that hold such collections. Any information would be gratefully received.
All the best,
Giles
