The West Midlands Museum Development programme is hoping to support a museum with a Natural Sciences fluid collection. We are looking for a museum professional with expertise in this area to visit the museum to help with identification and advice on the collection which is in need of conservation. The museum plan to photograph and rationalise the collection as part of the project. We have some funding to support the work. I would be grateful if you could advise me if you are able to provide a contact for someone who may be able to visit the museum to support this programme. The museum is in Shropshire and the collection comprises approximately 1200 items. The Expert Eye programme is something that WMMD have been running successfully for the last 3 years – working with SSNs to support museums with different collections areas. To date we have supported World Culture, Ceramics, Archaeology and Agricultural collections. I would be very grateful if you could come back to me and I look forward to hearing from you.
