We get this:

The proxy server is refusing connections

Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections.

    Check the proxy settings to make sure that they are correct.
    Contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working.

Not so important to us as it happens but thought you might like to know.

Hi All,

 

For about four months, everyone here has been unable to open links in emails from SpringerNature. It’s usually marketing bumf, but occasionally it’s something we actually need to look at. I reported this to them when it first started, and got the standard “clear your browser” response. Every one we click on results in this error message:

 

Hmmm... cannot reach this page

·         Make sure that you’ve got the right web address: https://mobile-base.springer-sbm.com:44300

·         Search for "https://mobile-base.springer-sbm.com:44300" on Bing

·         Refresh the page

Well, we’ve tried clearing everything, using different browsers, different machines… we thought maybe it was our firewall blocking it (the ‘:44300’ suffix looks a bit odd) but, trying from home has the same result.

 

Is anybody else having this problem?
