Dear Madalene,
I would be very interested in attending this- especially if it attracted a range of services.
It might be worth noting there is also a subgroup of the Mercian Collaboration called the
Mercian Disability Forum (MDF). The MDF comprises of Library professionals working within member institutions (mainly Midlands) with an interest in, or responsibility for, supporting
disabled students.
Best wishes
Laura

Subject: West Midlands based accessibility meet up
Dear colleagues,
Following a number of successful trips and interesting conversations with colleagues around the country, University of Worcester Library Services are keen to put together an informal library accessibility meet up here in the Midlands.
We’d like to invite colleagues from the Midlands (and beyond!) to join us at The Hive, our integrated public and University library, to share experiences, frustrations or solutions regarding alternative formats, assistive technology and
general library accessibility. The plan would be for an informal conversation open to all: library staff, publishers, aggregators and accessibility services.
We’ve no firm date in mind but are keen to see if there is interest in this type of meeting. Please let us know if this is something you might be interested in attending and we’ll organise a date.
Kind regards,
Madalene
