The Museum Freelance Network has responded to a growing call within the cultural sector for more training specifically aimed at the needs of freelancers - especially for those thinking about, or new to self-employment. This is particularly timely given that freelance workers are being recognised a critical part of the cultural workforce in the UK and are rapidly increasing in size. We're therefore pleased to announce details of a new training course below and as attached. *How to set up, survive and thrive as a freelancer in the cultural sector* A one-day training course for those aspiring to be effective and successful freelancers and consultants Monday 15th October 2018 9.30am - 4.30pm at NCVO, 8 All Saints Street, London N1 9RL Join this practical and inspiring training workshop designed to kick-start and sustain a flourishing freelance or consultancy business. The day is jam-packed with proven approaches, ideas and tools to get started, market yourself, find work, win work, manage your finances, handle client relationships and look after your health and wellbeing. The course is run by Marge Ainsley and Christina Lister, experienced trainers and award-winning freelancers who work in the cultural sector and co-run the Museum Freelance Network. Suitable for anyone thinking about, or in the early stages of freelancing with arts and heritage organisations across any art form or specialist area.
