A
German Research Council funded post is available for a post-doctoral
research associate with a background in speech and hearing sciences. The
postholder will assist in a study on 'Production mechanisms of
ejectives in German, English and Georgian'. Responsibilities will
include recording, processing and analysing a corpus of acoustic and
articulatory data (dual-channel electroglottography, intraoral pressure,
dynamic MRI) and writing up papers for publication.
The post is
initially funded for 2 years and is available from 1st October 2018 or
as soon as possible thereafter. The salary is according to the German
public service payscale TV-L E13.
Applicants must have completed a
PhD in a relevant field (speech and hearing sciences, experimental
phonetics). Experience in the recording and descriptive and statistical
analysis of acoustic and articulatory data is essential. Basic knowledge
of German would be an advantage.
