Senior Data Scientist – Data Innovation Accelerator, Cardiff University Applications are invited for a Senior Data Scientist post in Cardiff University’s School of Computer Science and Informatics. This is a full-time, fixed-term post for up to 36 months, starting on one of the dates listed above or as soon as possible thereafter, with a latest end date of 31 October 2021. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a range of academic experts in close collaboration with industry on impactful, state-of-the-art, research and development projects that translate data science and artificial intelligence to commercial contexts, developing intelligent and informed solutions for real-world challenges facing a wide range of businesses in Wales. The successful candidate will join Cardiff University, one of the UK’s leading research led universities, as a Senior Data Scientist within the Data Innovation Accelerator (DIA). The Senior Data Scientists will lead and manage a team of six Data Scientists working on a varied portfolio of “big data” and data analytics translational research projects. This will involve coordinating interdisciplinary contributions and expertise, mainly within the School of Computer Science and Informatics, under the leadership of Dr Pete Burnap and Professor Roger Whitaker.
