Hi Leah

We used these for animal sounds in a temporary exhibition:

https://www.tts-group.co.uk/big-point-recordable-button/1003985.html

pros – cheap, you can change the picture under the clear cover, can be placed nearly anywhere

cons – battery operated (ours are still working 1.5years on but only occasional use since the exhibition came down), need to fix them down so the recording can’t be changed (wall mount included, we also secured with museum wax), only 45secs of playback, record in a quiet space!

Best wishes

Ali

Dear all

We have a couple of poems written by local schoolchildren in response to some of our objects, which I'd like to be able to record and play in the galleries at our Prison & Police Museum. I'm looking for a simple, inexpensive way of doing this and wondered if anyone could advise on a push-button system of playing audio. I have a vague memory of someone once telling me about "tin cans" for playing audio, but I might have dreamt that as I can't find a mention online!

Very grateful for any advice or help

Many thanks

Leah
