Dear female colleagues,
AdvanceHE has commissioned Robert Gordon University to undertake an important project investigating Higher Education Institutions’ mechanisms for support of current and aspiring women leaders in the sector across
both academic and professional support roles. This will cover two perspectives i.e. that of the institutions and that of female employees. The project is designed to benefit the higher education sector in the UK and members of AdvanceHE through the generation
of data and findings that can inform policy and highlight best practice regarding supporting women to move into and then progress through leadership roles.
We are keen to encourage women who work in all functions in higher education to be involved in the project by completing this survey. This includes those in academic and professional services posts, in pre- and
post-1992 universities, and in STEM and non-STEM disciplines. More information about the project, with a link to the online survey, can be found here:
https://www3.rgu.ac.uk/women-leaders-in-higher-education
The survey takes about 10-15 minutes to complete but your response will help to inform the sector’s approach to current and aspiring women in leadership – please help us to help you in the future. As colleagues
involved in SEDA and who work in UK HEIs your opinion will be very valuable.
Thank you
