Dear colleagues,

Over the past 18 months, we at ASPERA - the Australian Screen Production Education and Research Association - have developed two sets of resources/guidelines for researchers and research managers, on the topics of 'evaluating creative practice as research' and 'measuring excellence'. They are freely available here:

http://www.aspera.org.au/research/research-excellence-in-for-screen-production/

Developed by and with the ASPERA practitioner-researcher community, including some international delegates who attended the Sightlines conference-festival in Melbourne in 2016, these resources are intended to help those working in screen production/practice/filmmaking/screenwriting to navigate the sometimes-tricky terrain of having creative practice research works 'accepted' and then valued as research outputs in universities. Thus, the resources are intended for use not only by researchers, but also by their research managers and leaders.

We hope they will be of value to members of this community. Please share widely and use as you wish!

Best wishes,
Craig (on behalf of the ASPERA Research Sub-Committee)
