Dear all,

I would like to help a correspondent with detail about Kipling's visit to
the British war graves at Arquata Scrivia in May 1923.

The biographies mention his journey from Monte Carlo (where he worked on
King George's somewhat notorious speech to be given in Rome) on to
Aix-les-Baines. The small pilgrimage with KGV is not described.

Those (many, many people) with better Italian than mine may have references.

I am away from my *Letters*, but cannot recall a 'dateline 1923'.

Please!

John
