Dear Colleague Below is some information about a conference with the Livingmaps Network are organising in partnership with the Centre for Cultural Stuies Research at UEL . this is NOT an academic conference, we are attempting to re- create some of the intellectual excitement of the late Sixties political counter culture but focused around contemporary issues. RETHINKING THE LEGACY OF 1968 A day of discussions and debates bringing together different generations of writers, researchers and activists to consider the political and cultural legacies of 1968, their bearing on the future prospects for a more democratic, equal and participatory society and for modes of research in the arts, humanities and social sciences that can underpin it.
