Information Specialist – Medicines & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (full time, initially 12 months contract, with the possibility of extension), homeworking + NIBSC in Potters Bar + occasionally MHRA in Canary Wharf

 

We have an exciting opportunity to join the MHRA as an Information Specialist in our Communications Division.

 

The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency enhance and improve the health of millions of people every day through the effective regulation of medicines and medical devices, underpinned by science and research.

 

In this role, you will deliver the Agency’s information services resources to meet the learning and research needs of agency staff and the medicines information needs of external stakeholders. You will be responsible for supporting the management, promotion and access to information resources by providing specialist scientific information retrieval and library skills. You will join the customer and information service team so will also provide support to their day-to-day running and key projects.

 

The successful candidate will have the proven ability to collate and analyse complex information, and train and enable staff to develop their own research skills. You will be educated to degree level in library and information science. You will have strong organisational skills and be able to effectively manage conflicting priorities whilst ensuring your work is to a high quality.

Interviews will take place on Thursday 5th July at MHRA, Canary Wharf. This post will involve homeworking and be based at the library at NIBSC in Potters Bar, with occasional travel to MHRA, Canary Wharf.
