Dear all

In acknowledgement of the recent passing of Michael Halliday and in recognition of his enormous influence on the practice of EAP, BALEAP, the global forum for English professionals, has decided to commemorate his work in a special issue of the Journal of English for Academic Purposes.

This is a call for papers and other contributions (please see attached).

Specifically, the focus of the special issue will be on how the teaching, learning and professional practice of EAP have benefited from Michael's work.

If you would like to contribute, please see the attached for the publication schedule.

September 15th 2018 is the deadline for article abstracts/outlines

Sheena Gardner ([log in to unmask]) and Jim Donohue ([log in to unmask]) are the editors for this special issue, to be published in 2019, supported by the JEAP editors, Paul Thompson and Hilary Nesi.

Please contact us if you have any questions.

We look forward to hearing from you and working with you on this project.

Best wishes

Jim & Sheena
