Salary: £26,495.00 - £36,613 per annum depending upon experience

About the roleAlongside
our existing Research Publications Librarian, you will share
responsibility for the development and promotion of two open research
repositories,
ResearchSPAce and
BathSPAdata. You will support the
University's research strategy, including the submission of research
outputs for the REF2021 (Research Excellence Framework) exercise. You
will help your academic colleagues meet the growing number of
data-related funding requirements, with a specific responsibility for
data management of the D4D project, a major research project into
disability and community. Research data management is a new area of
specialist support for the Library, and you will need to work with
appropriate stakeholders to establish training, technical standards,
ethical and legal compliance. The role is primarily based at
Corsham
Court, the University campus for postgraduate study and research. The
postholder will sometimes be required to work at the other University
campuses.
About you (requirements)You'll have a
qualification in library / information management and professional
accreditation. You must have excellent IT skills:- a quick learner of
specialist IT systems, able to analyse and manipulate data from a range
of different disciplines, including the arts and social sciences.
Alongside your technical skills, we need someone who can communicate and
engage with our academic researchers, helping the University's academic
community to manage its data and research outputs. Knowledge of the
Higher Education research environment, and of the legal / ethical
standards around open research, would be advantageous. We will provide
training opportunities for you to further enhance your specialist
knowledge.
