Hi,

I'm trying to understand where the globus port range is set in DPM. My head node is still old. Could someone with 1.9 or even 1.10 head node tell me in how many files the GLOBUS_TCP_PORT_RANGE or equivalent appears?

I get this on my system

[root@bohr3226 etc]# grep GLOBUS * */* 2>/dev/null|grep PORT |egrep -v '^rc'
gridftp.conf:# $GLOBUS_TCP_PORT_RANGE 50000,51000
init.d/dpm-gsiftp:GLOBUS_TCP_PORT_RANGE="20000,25000"
init.d/dpm-gsiftp:export GLOBUS_TCP_PORT_RANGE
init.d/dpm-gsiftp:if [ -n "$GLOBUS_TCP_PORT_RANGE" ]; then
init.d/dpm-gsiftp:    export GLOBUS_TCP_PORT_RANGE
init.d/dpm-gsiftp:if [ -n "$GLOBUS_UDP_PORT_RANGE" ]; then
init.d/dpm-gsiftp:    export GLOBUS_UDP_PORT_RANGE
sysconfig/dpm-gsiftp:#GLOBUS_TCP_PORT_RANGE="20000,25000"
sysconfig/globus:GLOBUS_TCP_PORT_RANGE="20000,25000"

is it the same on newer systems?

cheers
