Hello,

I am hoping you might be able to help me. I am running a script written by someone other than myself which includes a command to register two images of different modalities together using FLIRT. The command fails with the error "Parameters do not form a valid axis - greater than unity". I've determined this error is originating from the '-anglerep quaternion' option of FLIRT.

flirt -in file1 -ref file2 -omat matrix.flirt -searchcost mutualinfo -cost mutualinfo -anglerep quaternion -searchrx -30 30 -searchry -30 30 -searchrz -30 30 -dof 6 -out file3

Would anyone be able to tell me a little bit more about what this flag does and why it might be causing this error? At the moment I'm struggling to troubleshoot as I'm not entirely sure what the flag is attempting to do.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Best Wishes,

Alex
