Subject: FS - awarding organisations using SecureAssess

Hi

Does anyone know if any other awarding organisations providing functional skills online use secure assess, apart from C&G?

Following a meeting with Pearsons, we have to change so much of our current processes to “fit in” with Pearson software that I must consider who else we might use. Unfortunately our English/Maths departments do not like C&G pedagogically.

Have a great weekend and good luck next week with GCSEs and other exams!

David

Hi David,

We definitely had quite a few teething problems at all 3 of our sites.   They did last a few months but now, touch wood, we’re not getting as many issues and any issues we have had recently have been invigilator error!

Many Thanks

Rachel

Please note that mobile phones and smartwatches are not permitted into Examination Rooms, please remind your students that they must hand their mobile phone/smartwatch into the Examinations Team for safe keeping before their examination.  Anyone found to have a mobile phone/smartwatch in an examination will be jeopardising their examination.

Subject: POP FS - settling down?

Good morning

Although we are still having issues with POP, we are not fully sure yet that our own IT is up to scratch. Can anyone reassure me that POP had initially “teething” problems, but now in the main, they are resolved for your college? Before I get our IT to spend a lot of time ensuring set up is correct, I need to know that once done, the programs are reliable!

Many thanks and good luck with GCSEs!

David
