Since 2017 guidelines were were vetted for trustworthiness in terms of their adherence to the US Institute of Medicine standards (look here: https://www.guideline.gov/help-and-about/summaries/determining-extent-adherence-to-the-iom-standards-in-ngc ) Thus we will be losing an important resource for research, education, and evidence-based practice. I could find no explanation for the shutdown other than lack of funding. I could find no media or health care/ medical literature coverage of the shutdown. -- Roy M.
