The Department of Applied Linguistics and Communication, Birkbeck, University of London, welcomes applications for the following post:

 

Lecturer A in Applied Linguistics 

The post is part-time, 17.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE), fixed term for 12 months.


The main responsibility of the post is to teach the following modules: Approaches to Language (introduction to linguistics for undergraduate students) and Bilingualism (a postgraduate module); to contribute to the research-led teaching of both undergraduate and master’s programmes in the area of applied linguistics; to contribute to the leading and growing the undergraduate programme, and to provide undergraduate and postgraduate supervision in the relevant areas.
