Subject: Consultant Clinical Biochemist vacancy in North Cumbria

Hi all,

We're re-adverting my 8D post due to previous unsuccessful recruitment.

https://www.jobs.nhs.uk/xi/vacancy/951f6aab717a43fbe9dcc4bcda4bdce6/?vac_ref=915105396

It offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Clinical Biochemist who aspires to be Head of Department.

Applicants without management experience and/or a management qualification will be offered an 8C post initially and be supported to progress to
the established 8D post within 12 months. The Trust has approved my application to return part-time after retiring at the end of August to facilitate
a smooth transition to a successor.

In addition to the post advertised the department has an 8C Consultant Clinical Biochemist and a Consultant Chemical Pathologist.

A possible part-time contract may be available subject to adjustment in colleagues hours' being agreed.

The department has been UKAS ISO 15189 accredited since 2016.

In additional to a great job in an attractive and affordable part of the country the successful candidate will qualify for:

- recruitment premium of 10% of salary (re-viewed annually)

- relocation package of up to £8,000

- support for training/CPD

If you would like to discuss the post further or arrange a visit contact me or Sally Willett. ( [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> , 01228 814028.)

Thanks, Wayne.
