Dear All
Can anybody help me. We are researching the history of quantitative geography in the UK and longing to find some early archival material – such as early QMRG membership lists and even a list of those who attended the inaugural meeting convened
by Barry Garner at Leeds in 1964. Does anybody have access to such – or know where they might be tracked down?
Thanks
RON

Subject: [QMRG] QMRG Undergraduate Dissertation Awards 2017-18
The notice below is for those involved in undergraduate teaching (and please circulate to others who may be interested).
Quantitative Methods Research Group (QMRG)
The prize is for the best dissertation that engages with quantitative geography. Innovative geographic data science analyses, effective deployments
of existing geographical science methods, or fundamental research in spatial models will all be considered. Entries are limited to undergraduate students completing BSc / BA level dissertations in UK higher education institutions. Entrants must be nominated
by a member of staff within those institutions. Each institution is limited to a single entry. Entries are judged by members of the QMRG committee who may, depending on the number and types of entries received, decide to award separate prizes for different
fields of the discipline. There is a cash prize for the winner(s). If you would like to nominate a dissertation, please email a copy (without any indication
of the mark the dissertation received) to Alistair Geddes ([log in to unmask]).
Deadline for receipt of submissions: 14 July
