Applications are invited for a three-year fully funded PhD studentship for a project examining curiosity and decision making. The project will focus on applying lab-based findings to the real world, in particular to consumer behaviour. This is an interdisciplinary project which provides the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to learn a variety of methodologies (e.g., psychological experiments, online experiments, diary methods, physiological assessments) and advanced statistical skills. Applicants who are interested in cognitive psychology, social psychology, and applied psychology (e.g., consumer psychology) are encouraged to apply. 


Eligibility: 

Candidates should have a first or strong 2.1 degree in psychology or neuroscience and a distinction or high Merit in a relevant Masters qualification would be advantageous. The candidate should have a demonstrable interest in the topic and strong written and oral communication skills. In addition, advanced knowledge about statistical analysis and experimental programming skills would be advantageous.
