Do you want to learn more about how to design and conduct a rigorous qualitative research study? Sign up now for King’s College London’s four day Introduction to Qualitative Research Methods summer school, on 23rd – 26th July 2018.

This Summer School aims to provide students with an understanding of the purpose and appropriate use of qualitative research methods. The course is intended to be both practical and accessible and aims to equip students with the skills to undertake their own qualitative research. It will cover qualitative research methods, including in-depth interviews, focus group discussions and participant observation. The course will also highlight the different theoretical approaches to data collection and analysis, including the Grounded Theory approach and Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis.

The course also includes interactive group-work sessions, with guidance from qualitative research experts, to help students to design and conduct their own qualitative research study.

Who is the Summer School for?
The Summer School is for researchers, health professionals, services providers and users, and all those with an interest in understanding and applying qualitative research methods. It is designed to introduce students to the basic principles and practices involved in undertaking qualitative research and help them develop their own qualitative research study.
