The WHO Department of Reproductive Health and Research (RHR) seeks an experienced researcher in maternal and perinatal health to appoint for this newly created position. The purpose of this consultancy is to support the Maternal and Perinatal Health and Preventing Unsafe Abortion (MPA) team on research and normative guidance projects on priority issues related to pregnant women and newborns. Under this contract, the consultant will contribute to RHR/MPA’s meetings related to the execution of tasks related to the projects.

 

 

The consultancy requires a master’s, doctoral or specialist degree (in public health, epidemiology, medicine, social sciences or any other health related field), a minimum of five years of experience in maternal health primary research or evidence synthesis, and good scientific writing skills. The position requires an individual with the capacity to work under minimal supervision, and with a range of local and international collaborators and teams to efficiently meet deadlines and produce results.
