Dear colleagues,

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN:

THEORISING THE POPULAR 2018, 11-12 JULY
Liverpool Hope University

This is a reminder that registration for Theorising the Popular 2018 is now open.

Now in its 8th year, Theorising the Popular is an annual international conference organised by the Popular Culture Research Group at Liverpool Hope University. The aim of the conference is to highlight the intellectual originality, depth and breadth of 'popular' disciplines, as well as their academic relationship with and within 'traditional' subjects. Topics include Fandom, Stardom/Celebrity, Film & TV, Politics, Music, and Drama/Performance.

The conference will be held at Liverpool Hope's main campus, Hope Park, and will run from 11-12 July 2018.

Full details of the event can be found on the Liverpool Hope Online Store (https://store.hope.ac.uk/conferences-and-events/faculty-of-arts-and-humanities), where you will also be able to register. The deadline for registration is 29 June.

For any further queries regarding the conference please contact the organisers, Dr Joshua Gulam and Dr Lyndon Way, at [log in to unmask].

Best
Joshua
