The School of Engineering and Technology at University of Hertfordshire requires four new experienced external examiners for the following roles:
1)
To replace an existing external in a team of externals as a module external for the programme of MEng Engineering and Modular Masters in Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing and Mechanical. In particular we are looking for coverage in
the following areas (all at level 7): Advanced Thermodynamics Thermal Systems, Aeroelasticity, CFD Analysis for Aerospace Applications, CFD Techniques, Control of Engineering Systems, Dynamics and Performance of Mechanical Systems, Flight Mechanics and MSc
Project.
2)
To replace an existing external in a team of externals as a module external for the programme of BEng (Hons) in Electronic and Communications Engineering, BEng Honours in Aerospace, Aerospace Systems, Computer Aided, Mechanical, Manufacturing
and Automotive Engineering, MEng Engineering and MEng in Electronic and Communications Engineering. In particular we are looking for coverage in the following areas (at level 5 and 6): Advanced Power Conversion and Control, Electrical Engineering and Power
Control, Individual Major Project, Mechatronic Systems Modelling and Control, Mechatronics Design, Microelectronics and VLSI, Micro-Engineering & Micro-Technology, Mini Projects (Communications), Mini Projects (Computer Engineering), Mini Projects (Digital
Systems), Mini Projects (Electrical), Optical Communication Systems, Power Systems and Telecommunication Systems
3)
To replace an existing external in a team of externals as a module external for the programme of General Transition Masters in Engineering, MEng in Electronic and Communications Engineering and MSc Modular Masters in Electronics. In
particular we are looking for coverage in the following areas (all at level 7): Individual Masters Project, Artificial Intelligence, Biometric Systems & Speech Processes, Computer Architecture Design, Digital Signal Processing and Processes, MSc Projects,
Optical Network Protocols, Sustainability and Smart Systems Engineering.
4)
To replace an existing external in a team of externals as a module external for the programme BSc Hons in Digital Technology. In particular we are looking for coverage in the following areas (at levels 5 and 6): Audio and Video Studio
Practice, Content & Asset Management, Data-Driven Web Applications, Final Year Project, Digital Media Distribution and Delivery, Distributed Systems & Network Management, Interaction Design, Mini Projects, Sustainability and Smart Systems Engineering, Networking,
Smart Device Convergence and Application, Smart Systems, Visualisation & Animation Technology, Webcasting.
All roles will require a commitment to attend boards and scrutinise student work on our campus typically 3 to 5 times per year. Tenures for all posts will start in September 2018.
