The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Chester is currently seeking to appoint an external examiner for the programmes of BEng and MEng Mechanical Engineering. The post will require the moderation of scripts, examination board attendance (normally in June), potential consultation on programme modifications, and the completion of an annual report. The appointment will start from October 2018 for a tenure of four academic years. All appointments are subject to meeting the University’s criteria for the appointment of external examiners. The appointment will be remunerated in accordance with the University’s external examiner fee schedule. In addition, travel, subsistence and accommodation costs will be reimbursed. Applicants must currently hold no more than one other external examining post.
