MAA is the lead partner in a 3-year AHRC-funded project, Museum Affordances, being led by Paul Basu, Professor of Anthropology at SOAS University of London, to investigate the latent possibilities of museum collections, curatorial interventions and innovative exhibition practices. For more information on the Museum Affordances Project and its activities, see http://maa.cam.ac.uk/museum-affordances/

To support this project, MAA is seeking to appoint a full-time Collections Assistant (Museum Affordances) for five months to work with Senior Curator Dr Chris Wingfield, Project PI Prof. Paul Basu and Research Associate Dr George Agbo, to document, photograph and research collections from West Africa. The role will involve facilitating research access and supporting the work of the Museum Affordances Project, maintaining appropriate standards of documentation and collections care, and carry out research to improve knowledge of the collections.
