I would like to inform you of the recent publication of an open letter to EU foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini, regarding the European imperative to save the Iran nuclear deal. The signatories of this open letter, believe it is absolutely essential that the European Union and European member states of the E3/EU+3 take every measure to preserve the accord's integrity, if another crisis and possibly even war are to be averted. Leading public intellectuals such as Noam Chomsky, Judith Butler, Slavoj Žižek, Cornel West, Joan Wallach Scott, Charles Taylor, and David Harvey, many prominent and respected scholars of the Middle East, as well as Iranian artists and cultural figures, including Shirin Neshat and Taraneh Alidoosti, have already signed.
