The search for the very best work in digital preservation across all sectors has begun again this year, with the launch of the 2018 Digital Preservation Awards!

Entry is now open for nominations as part of the most prominent celebration of achievement for those people and organizations who have made significant and innovative contributions to securing our digital legacy.

This year the exciting process will culminate in a spectacular awards ceremony in Amsterdam, as part of an International Conference hosted by the Dutch Digital Heritage Network and the Amsterdam Museum on World Digital Preservation Day (previously International Digital Preservation Day) on Thursday 29th November 2018.

Last time, winners on the night were The National Archives and The Scottish Council on Archives for the ‘Transforming Archives/Opening Up Scotland’s Archives’ initiative; Dr. Anthea Seles for her thesis on ‘The Transferability of Trusted Digital Repository Standards to an East African context;’ the Dutch Digital Heritage Network for their project ‘Constructing a network of nationwide facilities together;’ the team at HSBC for their ‘Global Digital Archive System (GDA)’ implementation; Amsterdam Museum and Partners for ‘The Digital City revives: A case study of web archaeology;’ and not forgetting the DPC Fellowship which was awarded to Brewster Kahle of the Internet Archive.
