Dear Collective Brain
A few years ago, when Modernising Scientific Careers was in its infancy, I attended a meeting in which Sue Hill spoke about how we, as Clinical Biochemists were extremely good at what we do but we needed to be more visual and work with
our medical colleagues to deliver patient care.
So, can I ask if there are any non-medical Clinical Biochemists who either work alongside their medical colleagues or work with other Health Care Scientists to deliver regular out-patient clinics? Is this something we should be moving towards?
What are your views/concerns? The pharmacists have made this transition so why haven’t we?
It would be useful to know what’s happening around the UK.
Many thanks
Shirley
