We put a vast amount of effort into this in Oxford. It’s valuable, it’s hard but it is achievable.

Ignoring funding more than half your effort will go into identification of patients. That’s much easier if you use the same identifier and technology for multiple purposes: PoCT, central-laboratory testing, blood transfusion, medicines management, patient transfers…
