Yes that’s correct. You need to populate the webpa groups before you can launch an assessment and you can’t populate the groups until students accounts have been created in WebPA. Without a button to sync the student data from VLE to WebPA the students would need to first click on the LTI link in your VLE.

Thanks for your response. So I understand well that students have to click the webPA link at the start of the course, so a teacher is able to make a peer-assessment in the webPA tool? Because, students have to be imported before a teacher can work in the webPA no?

Hi Griet,

 

We have the same issue with this LTI on Brightspace. On Blackboard there is ‘sync data’ button in WebPA which brings the students across. With the Brightspace integration this link isn’t available and the only way for student accounts to get created in WebPA are for them to click the LTI link in the VLE course.

 

I mentioned this a few weeks ago but not yet found a solution.

I have an inquiry regarding the LTI integration with Canvas.

 

In september we’ll migrate to Canvas. In our previous learning environment (Minerva) we used the WEBPA tool (which we liked!) so we looked for a LTI-connection between WebPA and Canvas.

 

At the moment we are testing this integration but we are a bit stuck on how groups/students are synced to the webPA tool. As a teacher I add WebPA (as external tool), the application is loaded in a new tab but i don’t get my students or groups in WebPA. In Minerva we had a button ‘transfer my groups to webPA’ but i don’t find them here. Could you help us?
