Dear friends and fellow walking artists, I’m writing to invite you to the London launch of my new book about walking and pilgrimage, entitled MIDAMBLE, to be held at the Iklectik Art Lab near Waterloo on the evening of Wednesday 25 April, starting at 7:30 pm. This book is an extended prose poem about walking, and it was composed primarily on pilgrimage routes in Asia, Europe, North America, and the Middle East. Last year I performed this work at the Made of Walking Festival at La Romieu France. A short excerpt of the performance, along with a recorded talk, is housed at the University of Pennsylvania’s PennSound Centre for Programs in Contemporary Writing website: http://writing.upenn.edu/pennsound/x/Jaeger.php The Xing the Line reading series will host the launch. Poets James Davies, Ghazal Mosadeq and Katherine Bash will also read from their new work.
