The Department of Neurological Sciences at the University of Nebraska Medical Center invites applications for two postdoctoral positions in Cognitive Neuroscience. The successful applicants will work in Dr. Tony Wilson’s laboratory conducting aging-related research in healthy and diseased populations using MEG, fMRI, and sMRI. Methodological specialty within neuroimaging is open, however, it is anticipated that at least one of the positions will be filled by a candidate with strong fMRI skills who is interested in gaining experience with MEG imaging and multimodal applications. Initial appointment will be for two years, with the possibility of extension into future years. 

 

Successful candidates will have a MD, PhD, or MD/PhD in neuroscience, psychology, or computer science, with an excellent publication record for their career stage.  They will join a vibrant and growing group of cognitive neuroscientists in Omaha using state-of-the-art neuroimaging equipment and resources, with ample local opportunities for career development and promotion to faculty.  A list of recent publications can be found here.  

 

The University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) is a multidisciplinary research environment with major resources, including a 306-sensor MEG system, multiple 3T human MRI scanners, high-definition transcranial direct-current and alternating-current stimulation (HD-tDCS/tACS) equipment, eye-tracking equipment, and a state-of-the-art transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) suite. UNMC is located in Omaha, with a metro area population of approximately one million, and major attractions and events such as the College World Series.
