I am facing quadratic and cubic associations (after carefully excluding outliers and checking normal distributions) between my behavioral variable and my brain features. I found some papers here and there with non linear associations but I was wondering if there are any theoretical backgrounds or reflexions about non linear brain/behavior associations ?
