A postdoctoral position is available in the group of Prof. Balint Sztaray at the University of the Pacific, California. This position is funded by an NSF grant for a project that utilizes Photoelectron Photoion Coincidence Spectroscopy, coupled with a side-sampled pulsed-laser photolysis flow-tube reactor, to study the spectroscopy and thermochemistry of elusive combustion and atmospheric intermediates. The project involves frequent collaboration with the Swiss Light Source at the Paul Scherrer Institute (NE, 5019NM) and with the Combustion Research Facility of Sandia National Lab (SW, 26NM).

University of the Pacific is the oldest chartered university in California, located in Stockton, Sacramento, and San Francisco. Widely recognized as one of the most beautiful campuses in the West, the Stockton Campus houses the Chemistry Department, including our Ph.D. program in collaboration with the School of Pharmacy.

The position is available immediately and candidates should send a letter of motivation, a CV, a brief summary of their Ph.D. research, and contact details of at least two references by email to [log in to unmask] Pacific is an AA/EEO employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any protected category.
