Hello Carol-Ann

We have over 12,500 records in Evidence search under the filter 'information for the public'. While the service is primarily aimed at professional users, we know that the medical community want content that they can share with patients.

See: https://www.evidence.nhs.uk/Search?om=[{"ety":["Information for the Public"]}]&q=%22+%22&sp=on<https://www.evidence.nhs.uk/Search?om=%5b%7b%22ety%22:%5b%22Information%20for%20the%20Public%22%5d%7d%5d&q=%22+%22&sp=on%20>

We also have a small collection of patient decision aids, and anticipate that this will grow https://www.evidence.nhs.uk/Search?om=[{"ety":["Patient Decision Aids"]}]&q=%22+%22&sp=on<https://www.evidence.nhs.uk/Search?om=%5b%7b%22ety%22:%5b%22Patient%20Decision%20Aids%22%5d%7d%5d&q=%22+%22&sp=on%20>

Marion.

Hi Carol-Ann,

For people who have learning disabilities, or who struggle with English, EasyHealth can be a really useful resource for leaflets. The website's got different ones for lots of common health conditions, and others that explain common medical procedures like having blood taken.

Kind regards,

Kerry

Carol-Ann

This is a useful list. It mainly seems to consist of charities.

What about Patient Info (formerly Patient UK) https://patient.info/ and WebMD https://www.webmd.boots.com/default.htm ?

Dear All

One of the queries I often get asked is do we have a list of trustworthy organisations providing information on specific conditions that will help supplement information found on NHS Choices.

The problem with a written list is keeping it up to date.

I did find the following on NHS Choices recently and thought you may find it useful.
It is a retired page so I am unsure how long it may remain.

https://www.nhs.uk/retired/pages/ips.aspx

I have tried a selection of links and they still are live.

Best wishes

Carol-Ann
