If you are a Cilip Member in the East Midlands you are invited to attend a GDPR, Copyright, Licensing and Wikipedia workshop at the Jurys Inn Hotel in Nottingham on Tuesday 24th April. Places are being booked, so hurry don’t miss your opportunity to book your place today!

 

We have two speakers: Naomi Korn, founder and lead consultant at Naomi Korn Copyright Consultancy (NKCC). One of the UK’s leading management consultancies specialising in copyright, compliance and licensing. Nick Moyes of Wikimedia who will briefly talk about the recent #1lib1Ref Wikipedia Editithon campaign and facilitate a practical workshop about how to edit Wikipedia articles.

 

There will also be an opportunity to hear of the plans for the future, at the AGMs of both the Cilip East Midlands ARLG & the Cilip East Midlands Regional Members Network.

2.00 p.m. Nick Moyes of Wikimedia. The #1lib1Ref Wikipedia Editithon: and How to edit Wikipedia. This is a practical workshop and delegates will need to bring with them a mobile device with a browser loaded. Access to the internet will be available courtesy of the Jurys Inn Hotel, Nottingham. It is essential if you don’t have a Wikipedia account to register in advance for a free username and password.

The cost will be £15.00 to members (payable on the day) of the Cilip East Midlands Regional Member Network and the Cilip ARLG East Midlands Region.
