APOLOGIES FOR CROSS POSTING

Diversity within any market is important, including the library systems marketplace. By leveraging the global library community and the diversity of expertise therein, FOLIO has moved from an idea to a reality.

With the alpha code released early in 2018, the first beta site engaged and others to follow, FOLIO is moving quickly to market.

The panel will discuss why FOLIO matters to Cornell University and how librarians are actively involved. The discussion will also look at how user experience is at the forefront of developing FOLIO to satisfy established and evolving library needs.

Finally, the panellists will report back on the recent FOLIO developers meeting where significant strides were made to push the future facing microservice architecture used by FOLIO forward towards launch.

Peter McCracken, Electronic Resources Librarian, Cornell University
