Dear FSL experts,

I have seen that using variance smoothing in one-sample t-test is recommended if I have fewer than 20 subjects. My question is about if it is also a good idea for all kind of statistical tests. In addition, I would like to know what sigma works fine in general. In example from user guide sigma=5 mm, but is there any criteria to choose it?
