Dear Dis-Forum I have been asked to send the following message to the list. I’ve copied in the person who sent me the message in my capacity as list owner: Dear Sir/Madam, I am undertaking a research project for my MSc Psychology dissertation regarding students with dyslexia in Higher Education. I was wondering if you would be willing to email a link to all the students with dyslexia at the university you work for or students with dyslexia you work with, offering them the chance to take part? The research encompasses positive psychology and education to ascertain what supports or hinders a student with dyslexia to flourish in HE. It also has questions in relation to the DSA and the value of support etc... A questionnaire will be made available in an online format (i.e., using Bristol Online Surveys). The questionnaire asks questions in relation to the role of hope, coping style, perceived competence for learning and global self- esteem as predictors of flourishing and well- being in education. It will take 15 mins to complete. All data will be anonymous, so no one will be identifiable. The email I send will have a detailed participant information sheet. It has received full ethical approval from Chester University. Is this something you or your institution could help me with? If so, could you contact me off list on 07832115092 or [log in to unmask] Best wishes, Chantal Specialist Dyslexia/ESOL/Numeracy Lecturer and Assessor BA (Hons), PGCE, PG Cert SpLD, L7 ADHD, PG Dip Dyscalculia, AMBDA FE/HE,QTLS (IFL) APC (PATOSS) ADSHE QA120,& Fellow of HEA Simon Jarvis Head of Disability and Dyslexia Service and Inclusive Practice Student and Academic Services Room FB 2.30 Second floor, Francis Bancroft Building Queen Mary University of London Mile End Road LONDON E1 4NS Tel: 020 7882 2765 www.dds.qmul.ac.uk<http://www.dds.qmul.ac.uk/> Access information via DisabledGo<http://www.disabledgo.org/surveying/access-guide/queen-mary-university-of-london/disability-and-dyslexia-service#AccessGuide> For help and support at times of personal crisis: https://www.welfare.qmul.ac.uk/emotional-wellbeing/help-crisis Advice for staff on how to create an inclusive teaching and learning environment can be found at http://dds.qmul.ac.uk/inclusive-practice-/ Sent: 24 April 2018 10:26 To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Research Project Dear Sir/Madam, I was wondering if this request could be posted on the Dis-forum?
