Hi Yanna,
According to the roadmap session at the TLC in Manchester last week, the Q2 2018 release (which should be out in a “few weeks”) will include integration with OneDrive and Google
Drive – this slide is taken from the roadmap webinar on 21st March:
It will be interesting to see if submitting a file from one of these cloud storage areas just links the file to Blackboard, or downloads a copy from the cloud storage and attaches
it in Blackboard.
We use our integration with our streaming server, Planet eStream, for students submitting videos, but this doesn’t help with submission of other files, such as AutoCAD or Adobe Illustrator
(for example). It will be interesting to see if this cloud integration helps, especially as we use Office 365 and OneDrive.
Best
Chris

Subject: Integrations for large file submission
Hello All,
It is almost the weekend, YAY!
At Westminster, we are exploring possible options for large file submissions and I really would appreciate some help.
There is an API for Dropbox (the Blackboard Learn 9.1 Q4 2016 release offers learners the added benefit of being able to upload assignments into Blackboard Learn directly from their Dropbox) however,
I am wondering if something similar is available for OneDrive or Google Drive. I have found some info in relation to OneDrive and Ultra, however, we are currently managed hosted and not ready to move to Ultra.
If anyone is currently using one of the above integrations for large file submissions could you please share your experience.
Many thanks for any help in advance!
All the best,
Yanna
